Gemstones – Meanings and Properties

Gemstones and Crystals have so much energy and they can help you in your everyday lives. Sometimes it is hard to understand and figure out how to use them or activate their power for you over all benefit. I have created Gemstone Jewelry so that you can wear beautiful handmade necklaces, bracelets, and earrings that activate the energies of the gemstones and crystals without you having to do anything other than just wear them. Your higher essences know what it needs to do even if your conscious mind does not. The gemstones and crystals know what to do when it connects to your energy vortexes and knows how to activate itself for your overall benefits.

Gemstone Properties

Magnesite is a relaxing and calming stone to use in meditation, and it has the potential to aid you to create amazing changes in your life. It has strong metaphysical properties and is a strong stone for creative visualization and imagination. It will aid the development of psychic visions of exceptional clarity. This aids you to live your life in alignment with your hearts needs and aspirations. Its vibration may help you to love yourself and this will help to increase your level of self-esteem.

Turquoise is a strong stone for spiritual attunement and is very effective in aiding with communication and has very strong metaphysical properties. It is a very powerful healing stone. The natural energy of this stone will help you to communicate with truth and will help to manifest clairaudient and clairvoyant abilities.

Aventurine is a variety of mineral (usually quartz or feldspar) which is spangled with bright particles of mica and other minerals. The most common color is shades of green, but others are also found including red. It is a protector of the heart Chakra providing a shield to block the entry from those who wish to ‘tap-in’ and use the energy of another. Aventurine provides for balancing the male/female energies and enhances your creativity, supplementing motivation in activities and augmenting the ‘pioneering’ spirit. It also reinforces your decisiveness and amplifies your leadership qualities. It facilitates balancing and alignment of the intellectual, emotional, physical, and auric bodies and used to connect to the power and wisdom within. It is a very powerful healing stone and is used as protection against negative energy.

Rose Quartz is found in masses, druses, granular structures, grains, veins, and sometimes (quite rarely) crystal structures. The color ranges from soft pink to golden-white. It emits a calming cooling energy which works on removing negativity and reinstate the loving gentle forces of self-love. It provides the message that there is no need for haste in any situation by bringing calmness and clarity to the emotions while restoring the mind to harmony after chaos and crisis.

Onyx is a type of Chalcedony occurring in the form of layers in a variety of colors, which include black, black and white, red and white, orange, brown/honey and cream or clear. This mineral is an excellent stone for initiating the modes of centering and alignment of the total person with the higher powers. It can be used to banish grief, enhance self-control, stimulate the power of wise decision-making, and encourages happiness and good fortune. It helps you to absorb from the universe those energies which are needed.

Jasper is known as the ‘Supreme Nurturer’, it acts as a reminder that one is not here, on this physical plane for oneself, but is here to bring joy and substance to others, assisting others to release the bonds of constraint. It is a stone which accepts intense responsibility in the realm of protection and was often worn by Shamen to provide protection and it is considered a sacred stone during the performance of, and adherence to, the ‘old ways’ of the Native Americans. Jasper in the blue and Grey colors are used to connect to the ‘after worlds’ and protects you from negativity and aids in stabilizing energies of the Earth.

Unakite usually crystallizes in the form of a mottled rock consisting of mainly pink, feldspar, green epidote, and quartz. This mineral can be used to enhance visions on the ethereal plane as it brings the consciousness to the present allowing those ‘easy’ times of the unconscious action to dissipate balancing the emotional body, bringing it into alignment with the higher forces of spirituality. It facilitates the re-berthing process and helps you to deal with both the information and the events of the past which have instilled blockages within the meridians and energy centers of the body. It provides for a gentle release of those conditions which have been inhibiting your spiritual growth.

Hematite has the ability to ground and protect. It absorbs negative energy and transforms it into positive energy. It balances the mind, body, and spirit, allowing for greater clarity of thought and improving mental focus. Among the many metaphysical and healing properties and benefits, Hematite helps people connect with their higher selves and spiritual guides. Obsidian is a strongly protective stone, it shapes a shield against negativity, supplying a grounding cord from the base chakra to the center of the earth.  It captivates negative energy from the environment and blocks psychic attack as well as negative spiritual influences. Obsidian conducts clarity to the mind and clears mind confusion. Giving a deep soul healing, it goes back to past lives to heal discharging emotions or trauma that carried forward into the present, bringing back the clarity to emotions.

Tigers Eye Stone is a quartz crystal with lovely bands of yellow-golden color through it. This is a powerful stone that aids harmony and balance. It stimulates taking action with discernment and understanding. Traditionally it was carried as an amulet against curses or ill-wishing. Tigers Eye stone will integrate both hemispheres of the brain, and aid those with scattered energy to resolve any mental conflicts. Agate is known as a stone of grounding and stability, helping to keep our feet firmly planted on the earth while connecting us to higher realms.
